A new highly effective and safe method for facial rejuvenation.

Exoderm Non-Surgical Peel and Face Lift

Exoderm Non-Surgical Peel and Face Lift Long term sun exposure, combined with the process of aging deteriorates the basic structure of skin. Signs of this deterioration appear as wrinkles, pigmented spots, uneven complexion and laxity. None of these problems are corrected effectively with commercially available creams and lotions, microdermabrasion, light and moderate depth peels and a variety of radiofrequency and intense pulsating light treatments.

Exoderm lift is a unique, state-of-the-art method of facial rejuvenation developed in Israel. It has been performed safely and effectively on thousands of patients worldwide with dramatic and long lasting results. The purpose of Exoderm is to reverse signs of aging and sun damage such as wrinkles, pigmented spots and skin laxity. This is achieved by complete resurfacing of the top layer of the skin and tightening of the second layer, creating a wrinkle-free base on which new skin regenerates. Exoderm is a newly developed chemical deep-depth peeling method that has been shown to exhibit excellent results in the treatment of a broad spectrum of aging-skin defects. It is an exclusively formulated phenol based solution composed of 12 ingredients, which include a variety of oils, alcohols and buffer solutions. Exoderm exerts controlled skin penetration, and is thus devoid of the complications associated with conventional phenol and other deep peeling techniques. The added ingredients control and prevent the main ingredient phenol from penetrating the skin beyond a certain safe depth thus eliminating the risk of scaring. Lasers and other deep peeling methods do not have such control. The procedure causes stimulation of new collagen and elastic fiber growth, which produces the “internal lifting effect”. A new tightened and lifted skin is generated which gives most patients a ten plus year’s younger appearance. Results are impressive and have caused a high degree of patient satisfaction in our practice. Exoderm can only be performed on the facial skin. It is generally a one-time procedure provided the patient protects the new skin from unnecessary sun exposure.

Many groups of patients with different skin problems can enjoy the results of Exoderm Lift:
  • Elderly patients with severe wrinkling and skin laxity Relatively young patients with premature skin aging and sun damage.
  • Patients after surgical facelifts with remaining wrinkles and bad skin quality.
  • Patients that have previously undergone other treatment modalities, such as laser, chemical peels and filling methods.
  • Young females and males with mild acne scars.
  • Olive-skinned patients who cannot undergo any other resurfacing treatments, due to the possibility of hypo or hyper-pigmentation. The chance of hypo or hyper-pigmentation is much less with Exoderm as compared with other deep peels or lasers.

The procedure takes about one and a half hours and is performed under intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. Unlike, a facelift, it is not a surgical procedure; therefore there is no cutting or stitching. Patients are generally able to return to work after only ten to fifteen days. Post procedure pain subsides in 3 days and is easily controlled with pain medication. Make up can be applied after 10 days. Aftercare is concentrated on daily use of moisturizers and sunscreens.
