Our philosophy at Lake Forest Plastic Surgery is that plastic surgery should be a pleasant, positive experience, where the patient plays a significant role in the pre-operative counseling and decision-making process, and doesn't feel abandoned in the post-operative period. We therefore believe that your plastic surgeon should communicate in a warm, clear and forthright manner, and the patient should feel completely comfortable in asking questions or raising concerns, no matter how seemingly minor or trivial, both before and after the procedure. To this end, we focus on listening to and then thoroughly educating our patients during the initial consultation so that an unhurried, truly informed decision can be made.
Thereafter, we make ourselves as available and accessible as possible, especially during the recovery period. We also feel that we are unique in that either surgeon will personally attend to virtually every step in your decision-making, surgical and follow-up process (rather than nurses or assistants).
Finally, we are both fully trained in both general surgery and plastic surgery, which enables us to not only promptly recognize potentially serious complications (albeit rare), but often personally treat them as well.
