Whether you walk into Dr. Salibian’s practice for the first time or for a returning visit, the warm and inviting atmosphere will make you feel at home. Amongst his devoted staff, you will be greeted by Dana Federman; the doctor’s patient care coordinator. Once you’re in the presence of Dr. Salibian, you should feel comfortable discussing which area(s) of the body you would like to improve. He will be straightforward about what he can do for you, present the plausible alternatives for your very condition and give you his best possible solution given your specific expectations and aesthetic sensibility.
With a practice that has thrived on word-of-mouth referrals, Dr. Salibian offers a comprehensive menu of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery for the face, breast and body for women and men. In addition he has a special niche and expertise in reconstructive breast surgery for breast cancer patients and those who require revisional breast surgery. Having honed his microsurgical skills during his fellowship in Oncologic Reconstructive Microsurgery at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Dr. Salibian now applies his advanced technical skills in a procedure known as a transverse rectus abdominis muscle (TRAM) flap, an option for women who have undergone mastectomy and desire breast reconstruction. The skilled surgeon recreates the breast from the fatty tissue of the abdomen with the goal of recreating a natural appearing and feeling breast and maintaining as much abdominal strength as possible.
Dr. Salibian's private practice located on Sunset Boulevard at the cusp of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood acts as a testament to the warm relationship he has with his patients. Both hallways and waiting rooms display artwork either given to him or created by satisfied patients. "Each piece has a story behind it," says Dr. Salibian. "I value the trust my patients put in me. By showing their appreciation in this way, it lets me know the feeling is mutual."
