Dr. Benjamin has the distinction of being the first black surgeon trained and board certified in plastic surgery in any of the armed services. He received his certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1979, and started his practice in plastic surgery in 1981 in the Washington D.C. and Prince Georges County, Maryland areas. |
