Dr. Douglas Taranow is a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. Prior to being board certified as a Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Taranow completed a rigorous course of training which included not only general surgery, but extensive experience in the care of burn patients and trauma surgery. This background allows him to adapt to the specific needs of his patients with confidence and ease.
Dr. Taranow often treats patients who have been referred by other plastic surgeons or who have been turned away due to the complexity of their cases. His knowledge of wound healing allows him to treat people of every ethnicity and color. Sensitive to the needs of all those who come to him, surgical procedures are tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
Dr. Taranow utilizes the most up to date techniques available. Whether it is subtle refinement or a more aggressive approach that is required, all patients can be assured that every effort is made to keep scarring to a minimum. Patients are pleased to find that small incisions are utilized for all procedures.
