- Austin Dermatology Clinic was founded in 1978 by Dr. Coverman. He had one full time employee and was brand new to Austin. In 1981, he hired his first licensed aesthetician, and then opened the first licensed skin care salon in Austin with a Dermatologist as Director and present at all times. Because of Dr. Coverman's concern that his patients enjoy the best, newest, and safest procedures, he has now expanded to a full time staff of nine, offering every medical and cosmetic dermatology procedure, in a state-of-the-art facility.
- Our practice is located in Northwest Austin in the Arboretum area. We are just one quarter mile north of Seton Northwest Hospital. We like to think WE are now "downtown Austin". Our practice is contained in a lovely park-like setting with "drive up" parking. Our office has been freshly remodeled, and all of our cosmetic equipment and lasers were the first of their kind in the Austin area. All are maintained properly, always with strict safety precautions in place.
- You will find our office warm, comfortable, safe, and pleasant. Dr. Coverman is proud of the art work exhibited throughout the office - he has extensive artwork from his daughters, father, and himself. Exam rooms are likewise comfortable, clean, and meet strict OSHA standards.
- Dr. Coverman is particularly proud that his staff stays with him. They like working in this environment, "We all get to know each other better, and both staff and patients are considered family". Various employees have been with Dr. Coverman for 17 years, 14 years, and 13 years. This makes for a more friendly atmosphere for all, better communication, and many of our patients call and ask to speak to our staff by name.
- We offer the only physician-grade products to our patients to augment their medical care. Each product has been carefully selected, fairly priced, and our staff are experts in their use. You are never forced or pushed to buy anything - recommendations are made and we stress the choice is always yours.
- We like our patients and our patients like us - always feel free to speak to any of us about any other problems you may have - personal, work, or even difficulty with insurance companies.
- Our office individually and as a group, participates in many local charities, and each of us through our own churches, our childrens' schools, and elsewhere try to offer charity in the form of donations of cash, medical services, or products when we can. We firmly believe we are members of the overall Austin community, and we thank that community for their trust in us.
