About Dr. Ormsby
Marcia Ormsby is one of just a few women who has completed a full plastic and reconstructive surgery training, and now specializes in aesthetic cosmetic surgery. Her dedication to pursue this profession arose from her natural love of healing and artistry. She has combined these talents to create a practice that addresses the total well being of her patients.
She received national recognition for her original research in wound healing; this work was published in the Annals of Surgery. She wrote the chapter on Plastic Surgery in the ground-breaking Textbook of Women's Health. An active member of the American Medical Women's Association and the Association of Women Surgeons, she also serves in the administration of her local hospital, Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. She is a national speaker, published writer, and an active lobbyist for issues affecting women's health. In her spare time she sketches, paints and gardens.
